Our guesthouse is located at the best breathtaking location in Bukit Lawang. Nestled on the Bohorok river bank opposite to the stunning Gunung Leuser rainforest, Sumatra Orangutan Explore Guesthouse is a relaxing and inspirational place. Its green tropical garden at the riverside offers the perfect spot to relax before and after the trek while reading or taking a sun-bath. The rocky and sandy beach in front of the guesthouse is ideal to take a refreshing swim in the river during hot days or to spot wildlife in the jungle just ahead!
As a perfect mix between comfort and budget, our place offers a small selection of rooms according to the wishes of everyone: one family room, a double bedroom and 2 single bedrooms for solo travelers! As we are really committed to support local people, we have a partnership with Bodong, a local jeweler. You will find a lovely double bed room with double balcony and private bathroom just above his new jewelry gallery. The quiet place is located on the hillside of Bukit Lawang at the riverside, next to several good restaurants and guesthouses. You will enjoy a great view over the Bohorok river and the jungle surroundings.

ACCOMMODATION AT THE RIVERSIDE
The accommodation consists in a large double bed room with a double balcony and a private bathroom, located upstairs a jewelry gallery (the owner has his current gallery just next door and will move in this one soon).
The room is furnished with a king size bed and a mosquito nett but also shelves and cupboards to put your clothes and personal stuff. The room comes along with a beautiful stainless steel sink in the room with an amazing wooden mirror.
The jungle style bathroom is made with stone walls and is provided with western toilets and a shower head made with a coconut. Please note that no hot water is provided. Towels will be provided.
The large room also enjoys two balconies : one big balcony on the street side with a view on the green surroundings and a smaller one at the riverside with the rainforest as a background.
